The Main Entrance to ALMA

In this video, former North American ALMA Project Director, Dr. Adrian Russell, shows us the gatehouse at the site granted by the Republic of Chile to build the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).

From there, the 43-kilometer road extends past the Operations Support Facility (OSF) at 3000 meters and up to the Array Operations Site (AOS) at 5000 meters.
