Making an ALMA Telescope Pad

This video shows part of the construction process of one of the ALMA antenna bases. These are buried approximately 2 meters deep and support the 115-ton antennas.
The 192 bases allow the 66 antennas to be placed in different configurations for versatility in observing objects of different sizes and at different distances.
