Conference Slack
A Slack conference workspace will be set up to enable asynchronous online discussion. This Slack workspace will also be used as the main tool to share and discuss about online posters. The PDF of in-person posters are also encouraged to get uploaded. Together with the possibility of exchanging direct messages between participants in private chats, a number of channels will be set:
- One channel for each morning and afternoon session, for a total of 8 channels. These channels will host online discussion about the talks in each of these blocks. The questions asked during the Q&A (answered and unanswered) will be posted to these channels to promote discussion.
- Channels for posters: The PDF files of posters presented by online and in-person (if interested) participants, will be uploaded to the Slack conference workspace to facilitate browsing and discussion. There will be two types of channels:
- General channels to browse the posters, per scientific category: These will include all the PDFs of the posters to facilitate browsing them. They will be divided by category and by online vs in-person, for a total of 10 channels. Each entry in this channel with the PDF of the poster will also include a tag leading to an individual channel of that poster.
- Individual channels for each poster: these channels will host all discussions about each poster. There will be one channel per poster, easily accessible from a link in the general “browser” channel.
More information about in-person and online posters can be found on the Posters webpage.
