ALMA and ESO to open its doors in Santiago for Astronomy Day in Chile

As part of Astronomy Day events, the ALMA Observatory and the European Southern Observatory (ESO) will open its Santiago offices to the public next Friday, March 17, with activities for students and the public.
In conjunction with the Municipality of Vitacura, students from public schools in the commune and from Colina have been invited to learn about Sciences and Astronomy from practical and playful activities such as water rockets, a simulator of moon craters and artificial comets, among others.
Furthermore, students will be able to connect with scientist in the VLT observatory in Paranal and in the Opertation Support Facilities of ALMA, in the Antofagasta region.
In the afternoon, there will be activities for the community, with free activities for the whole family at the ALMA and ESO facilities in Santiago (Alonso de Cordova 3107, Vitacura).
