ALMA Launches Micro Podcast!
10 November, 2023 / Read time: 2 minutes
Embark on a cosmic journey with "ALMA's Little Universe" – a podcast series that unveils the operations and groundbreaking discoveries of the ALMA Observatory. Each Friday, starting November 10, we'll release bite-sized episodes that take you behind the scenes of our astronomical adventures in the Atacama Desert.
From galaxies veiled in stardust to the revolutionary imaging of a black hole, join us for a weekly exploration that spans the vastness of spacetime, narrated by our Science Communications intern Paige Cromley from Princeton University.
Paige is finishing her astrophysics major and a journalism minor at Princeton University. From home, she is happy the podcast is being released. When asked what she highlights about producing the podcast, she recalls: "visiting labs at the observatory site, where I learned about the cryogenic involved in the radio antennas; talking to astronomers and engineers in the control rooms as they collected data from the far universe; and speaking to hospitality workers about the logistics of keeping an observatory in the middle of the Atacama desert up and running."
Tune in to connect with the Cosmos like never before!
