Cardón

El Cardón is a delicate cactus, currently in danger, which is located between approximately 3000 and 4500m in height in the ALMA area. When the road to Chajnantor was built, these were protected with special care and relocated as necessary. © Ralph Bennett - ALMA (ESO / NAOJ / NRAO)
