This video shows beautiful images of flora and fauna in the Atacama Desert. Despite the arid ecosystem, different species have been able to adapt and live there over the years.
The Andes and Coastal mountain ranges act as natural barriers that prevent the passage of humidity from the Amazon and the Pacific Ocean, respectively. This, in conjunction with other environmental factors, make this desert the driest on the planet
