An Oasis in the Desert Near ALMA
31 December, 2009 / Read time: 1 minute
In this one minute video, we can see beautiful images of the Quebrada de Quepiaco, a small stream that emerges in the rainy season, and is fed mainly by groundwater and snowmelt from the mountains.
This small oasis is ephemeral, however, provides shelter to different species of plants and mosses mainly, but you can even see flamingos resting in the area. Undoubtedly a place that nourishes the desert ecosystem.
