This is Lutz Stenvers, Vertex's technical leader on site during the construction of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA). Vertex is the company that manufactured the 25 North American ALMA antennas delivered by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO), each 12 meters in diameter.

Lutz is responsible for ensuring that the antennas meet ALMA's stringent technical specifications, and for performing all acceptance testing with NRAO engineers.
