Visitors
JAO Visitor Program
The JAO Visitor Program provides funding for scientists to visit the JAO and work with their JAO collaborators on ongoing research projects. The Program provides financial support for travel, lodging, and other expenses. The typical visit is 2-4 weeks. The JAO solicits applications to the visitor program twice a year, nominally in April and October.
NRAO REU Chile Student Program
The NRAO Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) sponsors research opportunities for Chilean undergraduate students to carry out research at the JAO. Since 2016, the program has sponsored more than ten students, where the students are usually 3rd or 4th year astronomy undergraduates in Chilean universities. Further information on the program can be found here.
Princeton Student Program
The Princeton International Internship program offers the opportunity for Princeton undergraduate students to spend time at other institutions to gain valuable research experience. Each year the JAO hosted about three students (which are usually 3rd or 4th year undergraduates). The mentoring occurs during June/July/August. Application procedures can be found at the program home page.
